The Thompson Gray Wellness Program sponsored several runners (Thompson Gray employees, friends, and family) to compete in the Halloween 5K/Monster Mile on Saturday, October 27. Runners met in downtown Huntsville, Alabama by the Von Braun Center to run the 3.1 mile course that looped around downtown Huntsville.
The Halloween 5K (Previously called Spooktacular), is a family-friendly run and costume contest, with categories from “best celebrity costume” and “best group costume” to “best cartoon costume.”
“There were lego men and superheroes and the Flintstones!” said John Asher Newman (son of TG employee Kyle Newman). The Halloween 5K was the younger Newman’s first 5K. “It was really long, but a lot of fun.”
Run participants were also treated to fruit, coffee, and cookies post-race.
More information about the Halloween 5K and Monster Mile can be found on the Halloween 5K site.
The Thompson Gray Wellness Program is one initiative by Thompson Gray employees to help develop overall wellness for all employees and their families.
